1. Summary

• The app does not require account creation.
• We do not run our own backend server to collect your photos or ASCII content.
• Image processing and ASCII generation are performed on your device.
• The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. Google may collect data as described in Google's policies.

2. Information We Process

A. Images You Select (Camera or Gallery)

• The app accesses images you select (or capture) to generate ASCII art.
• This processing happens on-device.
• We do not upload your selected images to our own servers.

B. On-Device App Data

The app stores limited data locally on your device:

• Onboarding preference (whether onboarding is completed)
• ASCII history entries you create (for example: ASCII text, creation timestamp, rows/columns, font size, character ramp)

This local history is used only to provide in-app history functionality.

C. Exported/Shared PNG Files

• When you export, the app generates PNG files on your device.
• If you choose "Save to Gallery", the file is saved to your device gallery.
• If you choose "Share", the file is shared via apps/services you select.
• Shared data is then handled by those third-party apps under their own privacy policies.

D. Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

• The app displays ads via Google AdMob.
• AdMob/Google may automatically collect certain device and usage information (for example, advertising identifiers, IP address, app/device information, and ad interaction data) to serve and measure ads.

3. Permissions Used (Android)

Depending on your Android version and your actions, the app may request:

• CAMERA: to capture photos for ASCII conversion
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: to pick images from your device
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (legacy Android only): to support saving files on older Android versions
• INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: for ad loading, ad delivery, and connectivity checks by integrated SDKs

On some Android versions, advertising-related permissions may also be declared by integrated ad SDKs.

4. Subject Segmentation Processing

• Subject selection/segmentation is performed on-device (Android ML Kit / platform APIs).
• Your images are processed locally for this feature.
• On Android, required ML components may be provided/updated by Google Play services.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data only in these cases:

• With Google AdMob/Google for ad delivery and measurement
• With third-party apps you explicitly choose when using Share
• When required by law

6. Data Retention

• Local history data remains on your device until you delete entries, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
• Saved gallery images remain until you delete them from your gallery.
• Temporary export files may be stored in your device cache and later removed by the OS.

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us so we can help address the issue.

8. Your Choices

You can:

• Revoke permissions in Android Settings
• Delete ASCII history in the app
• Remove saved images from your device gallery
• Uninstall the app to remove app-local data
• Manage ad personalization in your Google ad settings

9. Security

We use platform-provided storage and standard mobile OS protections. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize data handling and keep processing on-device where possible.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the "Last updated" date above.
